IoRS is a proposed distributed institute that exists within the framework of other collaborating institutions together with commercial or cultural partners. It is a non location based network that comes together in relation to relevant content anywhere in the world.

The institute is an on-going flexible design education program open to anyone with relevant content. Participants become stakeholders in the resulting knowledge, ideas, strategies, businesses and their potential profits.

IoRS focuses on exploiting existing infrastructure, both for the creation and dissemination of physical and digital goods and experiences. Avoiding additional infrastructure (such as new websites, real estate, staff, etc.) and their associated fixed costs, the IoRS focuses on the creative re-adaptation of existing resources and systems of exchange to produce proposals embedded within new business models.

The IoRS aims to do more with what exists.
